Across the area covered by East Suffolk Association for the Blind there are 8 Social Groups who each provide regular social gatherings, outings, Christmas parties and various other activities. These groups which are all self supporting help to build confidence by bring people together with similar problems to share their experiences, and provide an enjoyable regular social event for people who may find it difficult to get out and about. Transport, entertainment, outings, theatre trips and Christmas parties are all organised by enthusiastic local volunteers who also carry out local fund raising. These groups vary in size from 20 to 70 members.
